Hello! My name is Natalie. I am a mom, a wife, a millennial, a recovering perfectionist, and so much more! I currently work full-time for a nonprofit, and love to bake, dance with my daughter, cuddle my son, and watch Netflix with my husband. I love being adventurous in the kitchen, particularly as it relates to cooking for my kids. I am also very passionate about mental health advocacy and fighting the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
I’ve always found myself drawn to writing. I’ve done some short stories and some poems (nothing ever public/published), but one day I started journaling, and all of the sudden I realized that I had been writing a blog article. I found it therapeutic, cathartic even, to express myself in this way. I knew I was not alone in feeling the pressures of parenthood, so I made the decision to share my work. I hope my stories and resources resonate with you, and help remove even an ounce of whatever pressure, pain, loneliness, stigma or frustration you might be feeling.
My goal with this blog is to normalize imperfect parenting and to help parents (myself included) prioritize their own self-care. I don’t pretend to be an expert on any of this, rather I’m offering my own lived experiences, candid observations, and heartfelt advice.
